Typography
The body face is ET Book, Dmitry Krasny's revival of Bembo for digital display, distributed with Tufte CSS. Headings, masthead, and italic display work use IM Fell DW Pica SC by Igino Marini — a digitisation of the Fell types cut in late-seventeenth-century Oxford. The notebook-theme date stamps are set in Special Elite, a typewriter revival by Astigmatic.
CSS & layout
Tufte CSS by Dave Liepmann supplies the sidenote machinery and the underlying typographic system. The field-notebook palette and the wax-seal flourish were built on top of that base; the design language is shared with the sibling site Landuse Analyst.
Stack
Built with Astro and
Svelte. Static output, no backend
on this site — just HTML/CSS/JS served from a shared cPanel host.
Deployed via plain old rsync.
Photographs
All photographs on the Jordan page are from the original 2006 CBRL debriefing presentation. Where individual photos can be attributed they will be; if you recognise a photograph as yours, please get in touch and I'll add proper credit.
